Arrival by train

Arrival by train is rather easy. Always ask for special fares like the “Schönes-Wochenende-Ticket”, “Guten-Abend-Ticket” and others.

Within Brandenburg taking the “Brandenburg-Ticket” you travel really cheap during the week.

Here you’ll find the schedule of the “Deutsche Bahn” (German railway).

From the stations “Berlin Zoologischer Garten”, “Berlin-Friedrichstraße”, “Berlin-Ostbahnhof” or “Berlin-Spandau” proceed as follows:

Berlin-Zoologischer Garten: 

Underground Line 9 to Leopoldplatz

Underground Line 6 to Alt-Tegel

Bus 222 direction Alt-Lübars to Titusweg

Berlin-Friedrichstraße:

Underground Line 6 to Alt-Tegel

Bus 222 direction Alt-Lübars to Titusweg

Berlin-Spandau:

Bus X33 to Holzhauser Str.

Arrival by car

Motorway A111 to Berlin, exit “Waidmannsluster Damm” (short before/after the northern city border). Take the “Waidmannsluster Damm” about 300m heading direction Waidmannslust / Lübars. At the first crossing (traffic light) branch off to the right. The house in the corner right to you is our house. Next to us you’ll find an exhibition of wooden houses. 

Arrival by Plane

Even if most people prefer other transportation some might arrive by plane: 

Airport Berlin-Tegel (about 45 min)

Bus 128 from Airport to Kurt-Schumacher-Platz. From there by underground line 6 to Alt-Tegel. Then Bus 222 direction Alt-Lübars. Leave at Titusweg.

Airport Berlin-Schönefeld 

Regional line (Airport Express) to Berlin-Friedrichstraße, from there go on like desribed at Arrival by train.


Public transportation in Berlin and Brandenburg 

Public transportation in Berlin and Brandenburg is very reliable and the fastest and safest 24/7 traffic method in Berlin. 

During night from about 1am a night schedule gets active. Almost all lines are operated but in larger cyles from 10 to 20 min. 

During weekends some underground lines are operated in a 10 min. cycle around the clock. Further information at the homepage of the BVG

Bus

The Bus 222 stops directly in front of our house, stop “Titusweg”. To the underground station Alt-Tegel it takes about 5 min and to the city service station Waidmannslust it takes about 8 min direction Alt-Lübars. 

During night the line N22 is operated at the same course. 

Underground

The underground line 6 is operated from Alt-Tegel to Alt-Mariendorf via Leopoldplatz. This is your fastest way to the city. 

Start your exploration of Berlin’s historical center from the station Berlin-Friedrichstraße. You reach it directly by the line 6 from Alt-Tegel. You reach the city around Kurfürstendamm and Gedächtniskirche (Memorial Church) by taking line 6 to Leopoldplatz and then changing for line 9 to Zoologischer Garten or Kurfürstendamm.

S-Bahn (City Service) 

Line 25 serves Bornholmer Straße and Friedrichstraße and terminates in Lichterfelde. You’ll find lively Prenzlauer Berg taking the Tram from Bornholmer Straße.
